Deer, wearing the mask of bear.

There was a boy that I met once. He would not let me believe that he was a man, so a boy he remained, stretched out and taught in a body that made him awkward. Deer, wearing the mask of a bear. A brother by chance rather than by blood.

He told me I could call him what ever I would like. 'Call me any name, name means nothing. I am me. You are Sally.' From then I have felt grounded.

Call me what you will.
That is what I have learnt.
